Services

Initial Trial Rehabilitation (In-Studio / Home-Based / Conditioning)

"I finished my post-surgery rehab, but I'm still not progressing well"
"Due to paralysis, my arms and legs feel heavy, and the pain is constant"
"I feel unsteady when walking, making it scary to go out alone"

Many clients who visit us initially face these immediate, distressing symptoms and anxiety about moving.

In the Initial Trial Rehab, we first listen carefully to your story. Through specialized physical evaluations, we pinpoint the root cause of your heaviness, pain, or unsteadiness.

While easing your current symptoms and building a body you can move with confidence, we work together to determine the best plan—chosen from our In-Studio, Home-Based, or Conditioning services—to help you achieve your ultimate goals, like returning to hobbies or daily activities.

Please don't suffer in silence. Share your challenges and anxieties with us first.

Please Note: Our studio is getting a makeover! Until late June, we are bringing our expert care directly to you with our in-home services.

In-Studio Rehab: Intensive Functional Training

Based on the root causes and goals identified during the Initial Trial Rehab, we provide intensive functional training tailored specifically to you.

Our clinic is fully equipped with specialized rehab beds and a spacious layout. This professional environment allows you to challenge yourself with larger, more diverse movements that are often difficult to perform during home visits.

Furthermore, to ensure the positive physical responses achieved during your session are not lost, we provide custom home exercise programs every single time.

Since your physical condition changes daily, we never skip a thorough, expert evaluation at the start of each visit. The home exercises we prescribe evolve dynamically based on your condition that day. We ensure that your progress steadily builds up with every visit.

Sessions are available in 30, 60, or 90-minute programs, allowing for thorough training tailored to your condition.

Home-Based Rehab: Practical Daily Living Training

This plan is designed for those who find it difficult to commute to our clinic, as well as those who want to focus entirely on improving movements within their own home.

Whether it is navigating the bathroom, bathing, cooking in the kitchen, doing laundry, or taking a walk outside, practicing in your actual living environment allows us to deeply evaluate the root causes of unsteadiness or limited mobility (including both physical and higher brain functions). Because we focus directly on real-life tasks, your goals become crystal clear, leading to highly targeted rehabilitation.

For our home-visit rehabilitation services, we also provide a different set of customized home exercises for each session. These are specifically tailored to your actual living environment and adapted to your cumulative physical progress.

Additionally, home sessions make it easy for your family to observe, allowing everyone to stay informed on your current status and learn caregiving tips. Together as a family, we can celebrate and track your positive progress.

Conditioning: Prevention and Performance Enhancement

This plan is for those who do not have a major illness or injury but want to address minor discomforts, such as chronic back tension or persistent daily aches.

It perfectly meets the needs of those who feel, "It’s not serious enough to go to a hospital, but I want an expert I can easily consult with."

Furthermore, if you feel that your flexibility isn't improving despite attending yoga or gymnastics classes, or if you want to know the secret to effective strength training, we are here to help. From a physical therapist's perspective, we provide targeted adjustments and guidance on proper body mechanics tailored to your unique physical habits.

Resident of Saitama, Female in her 60s

I have lived with a congenital hip condition since birth, but I had been able to manage without major issues. However, as I got older, my body began to feel the strain. After developing a cervical disc herniation, I struggled significantly—especially with standing up from the floor and putting on socks because my knees wouldn't bend easily. Since I live in a traditional Japanese-style room, this was a huge daily challenge.

After just one session at Kazo Reconnect, the 'grinding' sensation in my knees when standing up disappeared, and I felt so much better. I no longer feel like I'm going to stumble forward; I can now stand up smoothly.

I also noticed that my knees bend much more easily when I'm sitting in a chair to put on my socks. I could truly feel my stiff joints becoming supple again. Thank you so much.

Resident of Ibaraki, male in his 60s

For over 10 years, I have lived with hemiplegia following a stroke. My motivation has always been the joy of seeing my children and grandchildren eat the fresh vegetables I grow in my garden. However, I developed persistent tendonitis in my non-paralyzed wrist, which didn't improve even after visits to a clinic.

At Kazo Reconnect, I was told for the first time that my wrist pain was actually caused by weak muscles in my back and shoulder blade on the non-paralyzed side, leading to overuse of my wrist. After just the first session, the pain significantly decreased. The follow-up home exercises were also very clear and effective. I am so grateful.

Resident of Shizuoka, male in his 60s

For months, I suffered from persistent right shoulder pain that radiated down to my arm, making it impossible to sleep at night. I couldn't lift my arm, and reaching behind caused sharp, agonizing pain, which made daily life incredibly difficult.

Even after visiting an orthopedic clinic and attending rehabilitation, I only received pain medication without any real improvement. I was starting to feel deeply anxious.

That’s when I found this clinic. From the very first consultation, the approach was incredibly thorough. They carefully checked every movement and identified the root cause of my symptoms. The explanation was clear, and being taught self-exercises gave me a great sense of confidence and peace of mind.

After the session, the pain eased significantly, and the night pain that kept me awake finally vanished. My range of motion has expanded, and I feel so much lighter. I was shocked that such a transformation could happen in just 20 minutes!

If you’ve been to the hospital without results or feel anxious about what to do, I truly recommend giving this a try.

What We Do: In-Facility & In-Home Rehabilitation

We often hear from first-time clients, "I wasn't sure how private rehabilitation differs from massage or chiropractic care, so I was hesitant to book." To help you visualize our service, we’ve prepared a short video showcasing our actual sessions. (All clients have kindly granted permission for filming and website use.) Please take a look, and if you're interested, we’d love to hear from you.
