Conditions such as Muscular Dystrophy and neurodegenerative diseases are often managed under specialized national healthcare policies, meaning very few therapists have extensive hands-on experience in these fields. We are proud to welcome a leading expert who has dedicated nearly his entire career to this specialized national medical care. 1977: Graduated from Nippon Institute of Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
1980: Graduated from National Saigata Rehabilitation College, Department of Physical Therapy (as a member of the Inaugural Class).
1980: Joined National Niigata Sanatorium (currently West Niigata Central Hospital). Initiated the first systematic physical therapy approach for Muscular Dystrophy in Niigata Prefecture.
Research & Clinical Trials: Participated in the national research group for developing treatments for intractable diseases (Ebashi Group) and conducted Phase III Clinical Trials for E-64 derivative (Loxistatin).
1990: Appointed as Chief Physical Therapist at National Niigata Sanatorium. Joined the Ministry of Health and Welfare's clinical and sociological research group for Muscular Dystrophy (Rehabilitation Division).
1995–2012: Served as Chief Physical Therapist at various national hospitals, including National Saigata Hospital, West Niigata Central Hospital, and Nagano Hospital.
Pioneering Achievements: Played a central role in establishing Japan's first "Neuromuscular Diseases Rehabilitation Daycare." Also contributed to clinical technology advancement, including the development of protectors for preventing femoral neck fractures.
2012: Appointed as Chief Physical Therapist at National Hospital Organization (NHO) Higashi Saitama Hospital. Expanded the scope of physical therapy to include muscular dystrophy, severe motor and intellectual disabilities, chronic respiratory diseases, and various neuromuscular disorders.
2015: Officially retired from the National Hospital Organization (NHO).
2015–2023: Joined the Kashiwazaki City Council of Social Welfare (Akasakamaya Day Service Center). Dedicated to applying decades of advanced clinical expertise to community welfare. Strived to build networks connecting welfare, medical, and administrative sectors to provide truly person-centered support despite systemic limitations.
